Project Name Queens Future
Project Description Queens Future (the “Applicant”) proposes to redevelop approximately 78 acres of underutilized, asphalt surface parking areas adjacent and accessory to Citi Field located west of Seaver Way, owned by the City of New York and predominantly leased to Queens Ballpark Company, L.L.C. (“Ballpark LLC”). The proposed development project is anticipated to be comprised of a major mixed-use development (the “New Green Willets Project” NGW or “Proposed Project”). The Proposed Project would also include new publicly accessible open spaces and other public improvements and structured parking facilities. Actions to facilitate the NGW project include several discretionary City and State approvals that are subject to environmental review under CEQR, land use actions and public realm improvement approvals. The proposed development will be seeking a gaming license by the New York State Gaming Commission.
